First how much ram do you already have if you have 8gb you should upgrade to 16gb to prevent frame drops and run other programs while gaming.

but if you have 16 you should be able to run most games well but if you want a boost you can go to 32gb which will improve game performance.

(make sure that you make your ram dual channel as well to improve peformance)

64gb is overkill for gaming and can run alot of stuff

most of the performance comes from what cpu and gpu you have but the larger the ssd and ram the better your laptop will run under stress from games and programs

If you increase the GPU power than RAM and SSD, you will be happier.

For sure it will but cpu + gpu are the most important things, updates such as ram and disk won't give you any bigger changes tbh

Don't listen to the other comments... you own a laptop you can't upgrade cpu or gpu. SSD and Ram will def help, a little on the performance for both, but loading time will be decreased so that's also good. But if you want to boost fps, there's many times including changing power plans, turning game mode on, prioritizing a game... etc

I'm not saying that he CAN upgrade his cpu/gpu I'm just saying that ssd and ram won't do big work to fps etc

Ram helps with fps, many games are starting to require 16gb rams, but SSD helps load in game a lot faster. For FPS he will definitely need to completely boost his laptop. So it helps with the performance but just not as much as he wants.
